Legal Assistant

Culp Elliott &  Carpenter is seeking a motivated and highly organized Legal Assistant. Understanding of legal concepts, terminology, procedures and documents is essential.  Competencies should include project management, with the ability to solve problems and prioritize multiple tasks; strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar, punctuation and spelling; and sharp editing skills with the ability to look for inconsistencies and errors.  Must be able to pay strict attention to detail while effectively handling multiple, competing and changing priorities.  Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide administrative support to Partner and Associates
  • Scheduling and calendar maintenance for one or more Attorneys
  • Manage legal documentation, correspondence, and files (paper and electronic)
  • Document production and client correspondence
  • Track deadlines and deliverables
