Charlotte, NC — Culp Elliott & Carpenter, P.L.L.C., is proud to announce that Stanton P. Geller has been selected for inclusion in Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite, recognizing Charlotte’s top attorneys in selected specialties across the state. This year marks the 25th class of Legal Elite, an honor reserved for attorneys who demonstrate exceptional professional ability and are highly regarded by their peers.
Each year, Business North Carolina identifies the state’s Legal Elite through a rigorous peer-review process conducted by DataJoe Research, a Colorado-based software and research company specializing in data collection and verification. Active members of the North Carolina Bar are invited to participate in an online survey, with attorneys voting for peers within their areas of practice. Lawyers may not vote for themselves, and votes for colleagues outside of one’s own firm carry greater weight. Attorneys without an active license or with disciplinary infractions are excluded from consideration.
Fewer than 1,100 attorneys statewide are selected annually as Legal Elite, underscoring the distinction of this recognition. While many talented lawyers practice throughout North Carolina, inclusion on the Legal Elite list reflects the opinions of responding attorneys statewide and highlights those who stand out for excellence in their fields.
Stanton P. Geller serves as Co-Chair of the Audit and Tax Controversy Practice Group at CE&C. He also serves as a member on the tax committee of the NC Bar Association. He practices in the areas of federal and state income, estate, and gift tax planning; corporate, partnership, and business law; succession planning; estate planning; federal and state tax audit, appeal, and controversy; and commercial real estate transactions. Stanton focuses on minimizing taxes, preserving wealth, and managing risk for his clients.
